Looking for a Meaningful Way to Give Back? Join Us.

Are you an entrepreneur, executive, or community change-maker? Do you have skills, connections, and resources that you’d love to put to use in a way that makes a lasting impact?

If so, we invite you to be part of something bigger—a network of business leaders dedicated to driving real change in our community.

As business leaders and residents of the Tampa/St. Petersburg area, we know that success isn’t just about what we build—it’s about the legacy we leave behind. That’s why we, along with a growing community of professionals, dedicate our time, experience, and resources to strengthening local nonprofits. We don’t just give—we engage, mentor, and help build a more vibrant and sustainable community.

What We Do & How We Create Change

At Social Venture Philanthropists (SVP), we believe the best way to support nonprofits is by helping them think strategically, operate sustainably, and maximize their impact. Our members roll up their sleeves—mentoring nonprofit leaders, answering founder questions, and offering real-world business expertise.

We meet monthly, both in-person and online, and throughout the year, we host nonprofit “hot seats” where leaders get hands-on advice. Our flagship initiative? The Fast Pitch Competition. Over five months, we mentor nonprofits as they refine their vision before pitching to a panel of local dignitaries. While we award over $40,000 in grants, the real magic happens in the lasting relationships and strategic guidance that drive long-term success.
