By leveraging the daily connection around a meal, including Trinity Cafe, our charitable restaurant, we are evolving our partnerships, programs, and services with a goal to break down barriers and create long-term health and capability in the lives of the individuals we serve. Feeding Tampa Bay believes every human being has potential, and hunger should never be a barrier to reaching it. We provide meaningful solutions that include food for today, food for tomorrow and food for a lifetime.

The Little Saint Nick Foundation (LSNF), a registered 501C3 non-profit organization, has the mission of “Kids Inspiring and Helping Kids”. This mission is to not only help kids and families in need who are going through difficult times, but to inspire kids and young adults to give back to those kids in need.LSNF was founded by Raymond Mohler Jr. at the age of six in 2004. Raymond had suffered from a rare childhood hip disorder but was fortunate enough not to have any life-threatening illnesses and decided to give back to the kids who he had left behind at the hospital.

LiFT is a not-for-profit educational organization based in Pinellas County, Florida. LiFT has two outstanding educational programs dedicated to promoting the advancement of knowledge and skills in education within an inclusive setting. LiFT Academy, serving students in Kindergarten through 12th grade and LiFT University Transition Program, a four year post secondary transition program for young adults. LiFT assists each student to reach their potential academically and develop necessary skills for independence.

SOS fills the gap between Medicare and financial limitations with a focus on providing more independence to seniors who would normally have to remain sedentary or face reinjury due to the unavailability of proper equipment to improve care options.The Organization’s goal is to be a one stop resource center for disabled seniors 55 and older who earn less than $1500 per month. SOS is committed to servicing 200 seniors a month in Pinellas, Manatee, Pasco, Sarasota, and Hillsborough counties.

Preserve the ‘Burg works to keep St. Petersburg special. We believe in the importance of maintaining a unique sense of place to enhance the quality of life and encourage economic vitality. Through walking tours, Movies in the Park, lectures and panel discussions, porch parties, and Preservation Awards, we educate residents and visitors about the unique cultural and architectural history of the city and celebrate those places that keep St. Pete special.  We help guide and shape conversations about what our community values enough to preserve and advocate with city officials for appropriate guidelines on the management of historic properties, neighborhoods, and resources.

Ready for Life (RFL) provides support, resources and guidance former foster care youth need to successfully transition to adulthood.  RFL’s solution-based Skill Center supports youth, ages 15 to 25, in homelessness prevention, education and employment, and with lifeline support networks. RFL offers a Unique Learning Program; Mental Health Counseling; The Community Law Program; Mentor Program; Health Navigation; Dental Assistance; Financial Literacy; Youth Council; Mommy & Me; Opportunity Passport; Keys to Independence; and more. The RFL Center has a family environment where youth also find basic needs like food and meal kits, personal and hygiene supplies, caring support, and access to laundry and shower facilities.

Our mission is to shift the current outcome that exists for Autism in the areas of Employment, Independent Living and Community Integration. We are creating an Autism Ready Community by working with individuals with autism, their Parents/Caregivers, Businesses that want to become Autism Employment Ready and the community as a whole. We are now launching an Artistas Mobile Cafe and will not only be serving beverages and foods at events throughout the community but also providing educating and understanding about the capabilities of those diagnosed. We would like to create a Friend-chise (franchise) program for this venture so that we can not only open additional locations ourselves but also train other individuals and organization to successfully open their own Artistas Cafe. This would allow us to expand the program within communities around the Country.

To Provide Education about Cooperative Business and Provide Technical and on-going assistance, As A Strategy To Broaden Ownership to Improve Economic Conditions To serve as a community-centric resource center that raises awareness about the benefits of cooperatives through education, program development and technical assistance that helps create and support cooperative business. Florida Ceed assists groups to form a cooperatively owned business which is social and collaborative in their nature, A democratically owned and controlled. It is our goal as a nonprofit to proliferate cooperative economics to create a more equitable and socially just economic environment. It is our goal to increase our revenue stream by providing education and developing more cooperatives locally that support new co-op’s.

Great Explorations Children’s Museum’s mission is to stimulate learning through creativity, play, and exploration. We offer inclusive educational programming to ALL youth, ensuring that lowincome children and those with varying physical and developmental abilities have equal opportunities to take part in transformational learning experiences. We do this by offering multi-sensory hands-on exhibits, outreaches in high-risk areas, unique S.T.E.A.M. (science, technology, engineering, art, math) programs, and more as a way to motivate children to take an active interest in their education while looking at the world in creative and meaningful ways. In order to create a culture of diversity, understanding, and equity in education, Great Explorations provides inclusive educational opportunities for children and families; while relying on diverse revenue streams to support these programs. Great Explorations relies on the revenue generated by preschool tuition (for the museum’s award-winning preschool on-site), museum admissions, camp/afterschool program fees, gift shop sales, birthday parties, corporate/private donations and grants to be able to provide our educational services to underserved communities at a free or reduced cost, while affording our general operating expenses. 

Our mission is to empower children by re-imagining the concept of school. We are dedicated to embracing each child’s uniqueness in order to develop successful and passionate future leaders. We believe that learning opportunities and inspiration are all around us. We encourage teachers, students, families, and community members to engage in the process of allowing students to explore ideas in the real world. We believe that by making connections, our students will be inspired to create, expand upon, and share their ideas, and in return impact our community and our world. We currently earn revenue through tuition payments. That won’t change, however, we are looking to do a more intentional job at soliciting donations from the community through events, sponsored projects, etc. We have also been asked to begin franchising/licensing another school in the 2019-20 school year which will also be an additional stream of revenue for this school. Having a facility large enough so that we can train teachers is also an additional next step for us.

The mission of the Louise Graham Regeneration Center is to provide opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities to maximize their independence through the provision of quality life skills training, paid employment and participation in the community at large. Our organization operates Secure Shred of Florida a AAA NAID Certified secure document destruction venture and cardboard recycler that employs adults with developmental disabilities in paid part-time to full-time employment, employability skills development to secure competitive employment and helps these clients develop more self-esteem, self-sufficiency and community inclusion, hence self-fulfillment. The Center with its main social enterprise and its smaller, but developing ventures create employment and employment training opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities, benefits the environment through its recycling that saves more than 1200 cubic yards of landfill space, 152,000 gallons of oil, 1.6 million kilowatts of electricity, over 3,500 trees and 2.8 million gallons of water annually.

The mission of the Pinellas County Urban League is to enrich, enhance and serve our community through leadership and resources by increasing their social inclusion, educational competitiveness and economic prosperity through advocacy program services and research, bridging socioeconomic barriers and promoting new and strengthened relationships of residents living in Pinellas, Pasco, Hernando, Sumter, Marion, Lake and Seminole counties. PCUL plans to revamp their workforce development program by monetizing services they’re already offering to the community through job boards and educational services.

SailFuture provides a comprehensive system of care for teenage foster youth in crisis. By crossintegrating housing, mental health, private education, sailing, case management, independent living, and vocational training, we can help break the cycle of incarceration, unemployment, and homelessness for this population. SailFuture has two revenue generating programs— Vacations with Purpose and a culinary training program. We utilize our 65′ sailing vessel, usually used as a program boat, to do sunset sails in Tampa Bay, week-long vacations in the Caribbean, or short trips down the Florida coast. These trips help offset program costs and serve as a way for our youth to improve their sailing skills as crew and expand their personal networks. This year, we will also launch a culinary program that will provide vocational training for our youth and revenue for that program. We have an acquired a 7,000 sq. ft. building that is currently under renovation to become a school.

Sewn Apart is an environmentally and socially conscious fashion-forward accessory company. We focus on reducing textile waste by repurposing discarded clothes into bowties and more. We have a mission of reducing landfill input by capturing 10,000 garments to redesign. We care about the well-being of society and know communities function better when all have opportunities to thrive, therefore we work with those who are hard to employ. Sewn Apart makes products by people to empower them, for people to empower them. Basically, we want to save the world and look good while doing it. We donate a portion of all sales to different causes and organizations. Currently, we are donating to one of our partners, The Sustainable Living Project, which is a nonprofit urban farm and educational center. We like to keep it local and food-related because we believe food is a human right. However, we have also donated to the ACLU, Standing Rock, and RAICES because we believe in basic human rights and dignity for all. Part of the growth plan with the social enterprise is to sponsor school gardens.

The mission of Shepherd’s Village is to assist single mother families to move forward from crisis to sustainable personal and economic stability by providing life development programs and resources – two generations at a time. We have a thrifty boutique that supports scholarships and teaches business skills. Shabby 2 Chic is located in Belleair Bluffs and everything is donated and re-sold to provide the single-mothers at Shepherd’s village with scholarships to continue their education for advancement in their careers or job change

The Portico, the downtown campus of Hyde Park United Methodists, is a co-operative community gathering space for arts, social justice, conversation, connection, and community change. It is the home of the social enterprise venture, The Portico Cafe, a cafe with a mission to employ homeless and at-risk individuals, providing income, benefits, valuable work experience, and training to move them toward self-sufficiency. The Portico, the downtown campus of Hyde Park United Methodists, has launched a coffee shop and gathering place at this downtown location called The Portico Cafe. The Portico Cafe serves coffee, breakfast, and lunch and is located in downtown Tampa. The Portico Cafe will transform a community in three ways: 1) By employing homeless and at-risk individuals, providing income, valuable work experience, and training to move them toward self-sufficiency 2) By providing a gathering space and programming to foster conversation, connection, and community change 3) By providing unrestricted income to support missions in community.
